Dudley's Coming to Downtown Alliance

The owners of Dudley's Pizza in Damascus are expanding, and will open a new location in downtown Alliance. The Dudleys expect to open the Alliance location later this year.

"Dudley's Downtown" − will be at 353 E. Main St. and will handle catering events in addition to offering an elevated experience, said Brian and Tara Dudley.

The location is the former home of Checkerboard Cheesecake, which closed in late December after 36 years in business.

Dudley's Pizza: Turning faith and family into pizza dough

Tara Dudley said the family-run business continues to grow since Dudley's Pizza − formerly called Dudley's G's Pizza World − opened in 2023. The name has been shortened. The restaurant sells pizza and ice cream. The family also owns Dudley's Woodfire & Ice food trucks.

The Dudleys also are active in service to the community, helping organizations.

To help the Dudleys, Alliance City Council on Feb. 2 approved a 15-year, 2% loan for the owners' company, Dudbites LLC, for $175,000. The money will allow the Dudleys 2 to buy the downtown space and get it ready. Brian Dudley said the plan is to hire 15 to 20 employees.
